Overview
#DinosUnite is a collaborative live-action musical about dinosaurs and unicorns who together face and overcome climate and social crises to overcome the impossible and survive an astronomical calamity.
Justification / Need
WeCanWin vs the Inequality and Climate crises, but only by coming together and working, growing, and doing. The majority of pop media compromises our values and discourages the unity and altruistic effort required to win. #DinosUnite is just a small piece of a new movement of independent truth-telling and value-full popular (viral) media. Our goal is to launch this fun, creative, and engaging story Everywhere, raising awareness of the crises and also illustrating the way forward and out.
Status Quo
We have a 3 hour rock musical prototype, which needs refinement, performers, marketting and production assistance.
Activities
Scaling co-creation and dissemination.
Opportunities to engage include 1-to-1 briefings, group brainstorm sessions, and collaborative meetups.
Desired Outputs
#DinosUnite is a mixed media production. Our goal is to grow the project with low-budget street performance, but eventually target local theatre stages and larger venues.
Financial Overview
The early stages of this project are funded, but heavily leveraging volunteer labor. We need more volunteers, particularly performance-artists. We also need more funding to grow the project for professional venues.
