Mr. Carmichael has published numerous peer reviewed articles and is frequently quoted on the medical device, venture capital and M&A industries. Mr. Carmichael is a frequent speaker at private equity conferences and industry events as a recognized authority on exit strategies and liquidity alternatives for institutional investors. Further, he teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in finance at Michigan State University and has been awarded Outstanding Faculty awards. Mr. Carmichael received his B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from Michigan State University in 1985. He received his J.D. from New York Law School in 1989 where he was Editor of the Law Review and was a clerk for the Honorable John E. Sprizzo, U.S. Judge Southern District of NY. Mr. Carmichael is a member of the bar in the state of Michigan, New York, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Supreme Court.
