David holds an MSc in environmental and geographical science from the University of Cape Town, is a registered Professional Natural Scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professionals (SACNASP) and has 14 years of experience in the climate and disaster risk space. David presents bespoke current and projected climate changes. Working from the daily scale and focusing on the relatable climate impacts such as heatwaves, flooding return events, rainfall intensity, and threshold exceedance – David is more cognizant of the end-user needs and is better able to relate the anticipated climate changes more tangibly to decision-makers and stakeholders
David has moved to develop climate solutions for the adaptation needs of the most at-risk communities by supporting development of funding application proposals for clients such as United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and Conservation International (CI)
