Share of workers in demolition (NACE-4 code 4311) that sort construction waste materials for recycling. Conversely to demolition, the deconstruction of buildings occurs with procedures that identify and sorts different materials, reducing construction waste and keeping materials in the system for longer periods.

The Slow (renovation and retrofitting) and Close (deconstruction) activities can be measured instead in terms of hours spent by construction workers in renovation and deconstruction (with sorting of waste).
